Video: The Food Issue!!
When I first moved to the bay area there was this little paper, then called the "Weekly Planet", that all of my new friends were raving about. Not only was it packed with stuff to do, it was also full of funny editorials, issue-related articles about our various area governments and reviews of local restaurants and movies. The hubs and I just started picking them up at newsstands and keeping them in the car in the event that we were without something to do - it was like our little Magic 8-ball of surprises. Want to know what restaurants are good? Just flip open the food section. Sitting in front of the theater, wondering what movie to see? We found our answers there. It was the perfect resource.
NOW...nearly 7 years later, it's called Creative Loafing and has moved much of it's informative content online. The site is www.cltampa.com, and all of it's many off-shoot sites are linked directly to that page, should you need the kind of advice that I often needed way back in 2005. The difference is, now, you can just get on your cell phone and go online, thus saving paper and being very, very green. Ain't technology the bees knees?
