Americans recycle approximately 4 billion pounds of plastic each year - great for the planet, but where does all that stuff go? Yesterday's soda bottles, detergent containers, grocery bags and foam packaging can be found today in our fashion, furniture, backyard decks - even the picture frames on our walls.
Jennifer Killinger of the American Chemistry Council's Plastics Division, fills us in on the do's and don't of recycling in celebration of America Recycles Day (November 15), the only nationally recognized day dedicated to encouraging Americans to recycle and buy products made from recycled materials.
