About Lovestruck Robot
Within the first week of their debut album release in April 2011, "I Wanna Be In A Band," Lovestruck Robot beat out more than 300 bands and won the Florida Grammy Showcase the opening night of the 2011 Florida Music Festival & Conference. The band received positive feedback from program directors, distribution contacts, music industry experts, and the general public.
Since then, this Orlando based band's following has skyrocketed in both physical and online presence and continues to have a solid following. Some industry personnel have described the band's sound as a collaboration of Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake, and Lenny Kravitz. Lovestruck Robot recently shot a music video for the title track, "I Wanna Be In a Band." The video is a tonguein-cheek description of the stereotype musicians often have and how they are treated before and after "making it big."
Singer/Songwriter and front man, Jace Magee, is from Moore, Oklahoma and moved to Orlando in 2002 to pursue his musical dreams. He has toured the U.S. as the opening act for Hall & Oates. As of May 9th, the Lovestruck Robot single "Do It All for the Dream" has been featured on Sirius XM "Top 20 on 20" in regular rotation giving them worldwide play everyday.
In February the band was featured as "Band of the Month" on Jango Airplay and in April performed and interviewed on air at WPRK 91.5 for their "Local Heroes" show. Lovestruck Robot's next show is coming up on 6/23 with a few great local bands at House of Blues Orlando. For free tickets email the band at firstname.lastname@example.org.
