Jerome, who dislikes referring to himself in third person, was born in Illinois. His dad owned a small dog food factory and his mom was a high school home economics teacher.

Upon graduating from Southern Illinois University he became an afternoon disc jockey at WCIL-FM and three years later landed an on air job at a Chicago radio station. From there it was back down state to Central Illinois where he hosted a morning radio show on Mix 94.5 WLRW and began doing weekend TV weather. After ten years in Champaign, IL he was off to Dallas as Chief Meteorologist at KDAF-TV.

Jerome came to Tampa once his wife Wendy landed a job here and he began freelancing TV weather, commercials, voiceovers, and eventually guest hosting on the Home Shopping Network.  He has spent most of his broadcasting career live on the air in both television and radio, so the fact that Studio 10 is also a live broadcast every day makes it that much more enjoyable.  In fact, Studio 10 is The Bay Area's only truly live, local, mid-morning talk show, Monday through Friday at 10:00 a.m. on 10 Connects WTSP-TV. 

In his spare time Jerome enjoys hanging out with his wife Wendy, and his two children Ian and Hannah, losing badly at golf, attending Indy car races, and one of these days will finish restoring the '59 Oldsmobile his great Uncle W.J. Ritchey bought new. If you have any spare gasoline please send it his way, the Olds has a BIG gas tank!
